ESPN’s Ben Solak recently compiled his list of the best NFL draft picks from every draft slot, which included one selection made by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

From pick No. 1 through 262, Solak selected who he believes is the best player selected at each of those draft slots. As Solak highlighted, “best” in this exercise is a combination of “most talented and most successful.”

Representing the Jaguars is quarterback Gardner Minshew, who was taken in the sixth round and picked 178th overall in 2019 out of Washington State.

Minshew would spend two seasons with the Jaguars, which included making 20 starts. He would complete 63% of his passes during that span with 37 touchdowns to 11 interceptions.

Since then, Minshew has spent two seasons with Philadelphia, a year with Indianapolis, where he was a Pro Bowler, and this most recent 2024 season was with the Raiders. Minshew has since signed with Kansas City earlier this offseason.

For his career, he’s appeared in 59 games and made 46 starts, throwing for just shy of 12,000 yards while completing 63.3% of his throws with 68 touchdowns to 34 interceptions.
