Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward is tasked with the pressure-filled job of turning around a franchise coming off a 3-14 campaign.

After locking up the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the Titans spent the offseason making aggressive moves under first-year general manager Mike Borgonzi. Both the offensive and the defensive side of the ball have some new pieces looking to assimilate quickly.

One of those pieces is Ward, who is looking to begin his career on the right foot while helping the Titans get back to the playoffs for the first time in three seasons.

That means a strong rookie campaign will be needed from Ward, and in the latest projections from The Draft Network’s Jaime Eisner, it seems that could be a possibility.

Eisner projects an impressive season for Ward that includes 3,886 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

Based on recent trends in head coach Brian Callahan’s playcalling and current team personnel, we can project roughly 32.20 passing attempts per game (Titans had 31.18 passing attempts per game in 2024). Looking at comparable players drafted in the top half of the first round over the last eight seasons, let’s assume a yards-per-attempt average of 7.10, a touchdown percentage of 4.7%, and an interception percentage of 2.4%.

The Titans’ offense was plagued by volatile and turnover-prone production from the quarterback position last year. Though Will Levis is still on the team for now, he’s expected to work as the backup behind Ward in 2025.

The Titans are going to rely heavily on a rebuilt offensive line as well as the returning presence of players like Calvin Ridley and Chig Okonkwo. The rushing attack led by Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears will also have a hand in the development of Ward’s rookie campaign.

There will certainly be some ups and downs during Ward’s first season, but if the end result is anything like Eisner’s projection, then Titans fans should feel strongly about the future.
