The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wrapped up their 2025 minicamp with a clear message: the youth movement is alive and well at One Buc Place. While veterans like Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans continue to lead the way, it was a trio of young, hungry players who stole the spotlight during this week’s practices.

SirVocea Dennis, Linebacker

The second-year linebacker looked like a man on a mission. With Lavonte David sidelined during portions of camp for rest, SirVocea Dennis took full advantage of the increased reps.

Dennis flashed impressive instincts in both run and pass defense, showing he’s ready to take on a larger role in Todd Bowles’ defense. He was consistently around the ball, sniffing out screen passes, flying downhill to fill gaps, and even notching a red-zone interception during 11-on-11s. SirVocea has long had the support from the Buccaneers front office, with the team not drafting a linebacker in the draft, signaling their confidence in the former Pittsburgh star.

Jacob Parrish, Cornerback

Rookie third-round pick Jacob Parrish wasted no time making his presence known. The Kansas State product impressed with his quick feet, aggressive coverage, and nose for the football. During 7-on-7 drills, Parrish deflected multiple passes and stuck to receivers in man coverage, including holding his own against Chris Godwin in the slot.

What stood out most was his competitiveness and IQ. Parrish is currently competing with Christian Izien for the starting nickel job, and based on minicamp, that battle is officially on with some thinking it could be Parrish’s job to lose.

Emeka Egbuka, Wide Receiver

All eyes were on first-round pick Emeka Egbuka. The former Ohio State star looked smooth and explosive, showing why Tampa Bay used the 19th overall pick to bring him in as a future offensive star.

Egbuka ran crisp routes, made tough catches in traffic, and demonstrated excellent chemistry with both Mayfield and backup Kyle Trask. He frequently lined up both inside and outside, giving a glimpse of the versatility he can bring to the Bucs’ passing attack. Egbuka’s skillset will demand that he sees the field early and often.
