The Browns fell to 2-7 on the season after losing 27-10 to the Chargers in their Week 9 matchup. They wrapped up their three-game home stand 1-2 as they head into the bye week.

“Costly mistakes hurt us, and we just couldn’t dig out of that hole in the second half. So extremely disappointed and we’ve got to learn from this,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said after the game.

2 – CB Denzel Ward finished with two passes defensed on Sunday. Ward has recorded a pass defensed in each game this season, marking the first nine-game streak of his career.

2.1 – The Browns averaged just 2.1 yards per play in the first half, in which the Chargers jumped to a 17-point lead that they would hold onto for the remainder of the game.

3 – QB Jameis Winston threw three interceptions in Sunday’s loss, his 13th career game with three or more interceptions.

4 – The Browns committed four penalties for a loss of 25 total yards. The Chargers committed five for a loss of 35 yards.

6 – The Browns sacked QB Justin Herbert six times, with DT Shelby Harris, DT Dalvin Tomlinson and LB Devin Bush joining DE Myles Garrett, who had three sacks, in sacking the quarterback. However, Winston was also sacked six times.
