The New York Giants are hoping they can climb out of the basement of the NFC East standings in 2025, but many prognosticators and experts simply don’t see it happening.
The folks at Pro Football Network predict the Giants will have the fifth overall selection in next year’s NFL draft. Translation: They will lose more than 10 games again, making it the 10th time in 12 years that they’ve done so.
With that pick, PFN predicts that general manager Joe Schoen will continue to bolster the offensive line.
5) New York Giants: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama
The New York Giants seem to think they have solved their quarterback problem in the form of Jaxson Dart. If the former Ole Miss QB succeeds in New York, the Giants will have to invest in protecting him, and they do so here in the form of Kadyn Proctor.
Proctor is a massive human at 6’7″ and 350 pounds. While the Giants have their left tackle position set with Andrew Thomas, Proctor is versatile enough to slide over to the right side. Even with his massive size, Proctor is a great athlete and would fill a much-needed hole on the Giants’ offensive line.
Fans won’t be pleased, considering the last time they used a top-10 pick on a 6-foot-7 lineman from Alabama, it was for Evan Neal, who washed out.
In the second round of this three-round mock, the Giants selected another member of the Crimson Tide, linebacker Deontae Lawson. They do not have a third-round pick at the moment, having traded it to Houston in the deal to move up to draft Jaxson Dart this past April.
