KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City Chiefs super fan says she was one of hundreds of victims of theft by an Atlanta superfan.
Carolyn Freeman, a self-described Atlanta Falcons “super fan” is accused of taking more than 14,000 dollars from a Chiefs fan club. An arrest warrant was issued on Monday, July 7, after Freeman failed to show up in court.
According to court documents, Freeman promised to cater and provide a tailgate party at a Chiefs versus Falcons game in Atlanta last year. Tailgate attendees, however, were left empty handed and without the money they paid for the tailgate.
Freeman pleaded not guilty in the Chiefs fan club case, but she’s accused of doing the same thing to several other NFL fan groups.

Catherine Baskett is one of the many fans who says she is out money from Freeman. Baskett sat down with KCTV5 to talk on her experience.
“We stood there waiting, stood there in an empty field,” said Baskett.
To Baskett, the most important thing is accountability.
“At the end of the day, what I want from this is restitution for everybody,” she said.

She says this experience isn’t stopping the Chiefs super fan base from tail gating and supporting their team.
“If anything, this just shows, not just Chiefs Kingdom, maybe the world, we are stronger as a unity,” said Baskett.
