In what seems like such a long off-season at times for international fans, this one is truly breezing by.
It’s fair to say that fans across the island are excited for the matchup this September.
Steelers International Fan Of The Year Tom McCormack has had an eventful few weeks – he made the sixth round selection of Will Howard on stage in Green Bay a mere fortnight ago.
Now, his mind shifts towards Minnesota.
“To put it mildly, it’s a dream come true”, McCormack said.
“The thought of the Steelers running out in a modern, top of the range Croke Park stadium with terrible towels and listening to Renegade gives me goosebumps.
I’m really excited about the challenge that Minnesota will bring. They’ve had a real growth in 2024 and it will be exciting to see our Steelers take to the field against the Vikings.”
Down in Tipperary, Stephen Earley is overjoyed with the confirmation of the game.
“It’s a day to remember for sure”, he said.
“The Steelers and Ireland are such a great fit. I don’t think there is any other professional sports team that is as dedicated to the Irish market, with the events that they host and the players they send to the island – Croke Park will be bouncing!”
