Once a staple on the sidelines of Buffalo Bills games, we haven’t seen the Buffalo Jills at a Bills home game in a long time.
It looks like that is set to change, but instead of rooting on the Bills, the Jills will be at the ballpark.
Jills Cheerleading Offering Jr Jills Camp
Several former members of the Jills are coming together to teach the next generation of cheerleaders in Western New York and they are set to entertain the public at a Buffalo Bisons game.
The Jills posted on social media that they are currently recruiting for a Junior Jills camp this summer with the cheerleaders set to perform and cheer at the Buffalo Bisons on August 3rd.
History Of The Buffalo Jills
According to the Jills’ website, The Buffalo Jills were a cheerleading group that was founded in 1967 and cheered on the Buffalo Bills until 2014. The Jills also help raise money for local charities by selling a swimsuit calendar and making local appearances at area businesses. The Jills became the NFL’s only multi-county cheerleading squad in 2008 when they cheered at Bills’ home games in Orchard Park, New York, and Toronto, Canada.
The Jills were disbanded in 2014 after a lawsuit was filed against the Bills and Citadel Radio over pay and treatment of the Jills.

In 2022, a judge ruled in favor of the Jills and ordered Cumulus, which bought the stations from Citadel, to pay $4 million to settle the lawsuit. The Bills were also ordered to pay $3.5 million dollars to settle the lawsuit.
The Jills alumni have stayed together since 2014 and now you will have a chance to see the Jills and the Junior Jills one more time later this summer.
