Quinnen Williams ranked No. 87 in the NFL Top 100
Quinnen Williams clocks in at No. 87 on the annual NFL Top 100, which signals a serious tumble for the feared defensive tackle.
Though the New York Jets’ interior beast is still included in the NFL Network’s annual ranking, his No. 87 spot represents a 50-spot slip from the previous iteration (2024, when he took home the No. 37 spot on the list).
Williams, 27, is on the verge of his seventh professional season. Drafted No. 3 overall in the 2019 NFL draft by then-general manager Mike Maccagnan—shortly before Joe Douglas took the helm—the Alabama product has enjoyed a solid NFL stretch up to this point.
Big Q has been named a Pro Bowler for three years running, but he only has one First-Team All-Pro honor to his name. That came in 2022 under Robert Saleh, when Williams compiled 12 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and 28 quarterback hits in 16 games.
Williams’s breakout 2022 campaign led to his first appearance on NFL Network’s Top 100. In 2023, the Jets’ IDL debuted at No. 40 on the list.
Where does Quinnen Williams rank among NFL DTs?
Despite a statistical step back in 2023—while actually not stepping back much (if at all), technically speaking—Williams moved up three spots in 2024. Unfortunately, his No. 37 placement that year took a major rollercoaster dip this summer.
New head coach Aaron Glenn hopes the big man bounces back significantly this season. And the odds are pretty damn solid that he’ll accomplish just that.
Considering his relatively young age, the excitement around the team’s new regime, and the freshly implemented pressure-led defense, it will be a stunner if Quinnen Williams fails to improve on his No. 87 placement in 2026.
Williams was voted one spot ahead of No. 88-ranked Andrew Van Ginkel of the Minnesota Vikings, and two spots ahead of Buffalo Bills running back James Cook (No. 89).
