CINCINNATI (WKRC) — The Cincinnati Bengals took a break from the gridiron to tackle a different kind of challenge: hunger.
Past and present members of the team, alongside employees from Fifth Third Bank, gathered at Fountain Square to pack meals and snack packs for the Freestore Foodbank.
The initiative aims to address food insecurity in the community. Bengals offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. was among those lending a hand.
“Always a great feeling, man. Just being able to give back and put a smile on someone else’s face, share a positive light on someone, man, it’s always important. Especially to me, so I’m just very thankful,” said Brown.
The day’s goal was to pack nearly 3,000 meals for distribution at the Freestore Foodbank at Fountain Square and Fifth Third’s Madisonville campuses.
