In ESPN’s survey of NFL executives, coaches and scouts ranking the NFL’s top 10 edge rushers for 2025, Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson, who led the league in sacks in 2024 with 17.5, didn’t appear among the top 5.

The Cleveland Browns‘ Myles Garrett, the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ T.J. Watt, the Dallas Cowboys‘ Micah Parsons, the Las Vegas Raiders‘ Maxx Crosby and the San Francisco 49ers‘ Nick Bosa ranked higher than Hendrickson, who ranked sixth despite 35 sacks over the past two seasons.

Hendrickson ranked ninth in the survey one year ago.

Hendrickson recently has been training in Blue Ash with Black Sheep Performance’s Patrick Coyne. Hendrickson has missed offseason workouts while seeking a new contract, and ESPN reported July 9 on “NFL Live” that talks with the Bengals again have reached an impasse.

In April, Hendrickson said communication between the Bengals and his team regarding a contract extension has been poor.
