The Seattle Seahawks’ defensive performance turned around in the middle of the 2024 season when they traded Jerome Baker to the Tennessee Titans for Ernest Jones IV in a swap of off-ball linebackers. Seattle also gave up a 2025 fourth-round selection as part of the deal.
Jones was great for Seattle almost immediately and has since been rewarded with a three-year contract extension. Meanwhile, the Titans completed their end of the trade during Day 3 of the NFL Draft in Green Bay by selecting Texas tight end Gunnar Helm.

Baker has since signed with the Cleveland Browns in free agency. Effectively, this is a Jones-Helm trade given Baker was never likely to stick around.
I could be way wrong and Helm ends up being an amazing player with Cam Ward throwing passes his way, but I think the Seahawks got the better end of the bargain here.
