NFL staffers apparently feel that the Denver Broncos have a bunch of players just outside the top spots at their respective positions.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler interviewed NFL executives, coaches and scouts to have them rank the top 10 players at 11 positions ahead of the 2025 season. Broncos outside linebacker Nik Bonitto was named an honorable mention at pass rusher, and Zach Allen got an honorable mention nod at defensive tackle.

The latest Denver defender to receive an honorable mention is safety Brandon Jones, who was unable to crack the top 10 behind Kyle Hamilton, Brian Branch, Xavier McKinney, Jessie Bates, Kerby Joseph, Derwin James, Antoine Winfield, Budda Baker, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Julian Love.

Jones was second among the honorable mentions, behind Jevon Holland and above C.J. Gardner-Johnson.

“I think he’s a little underrated,” an unnamed veteran AFC scout said of Jones.

Talanoa Hufanga, who just joined the Broncos this offseason, was listed among seven safeties who also received votes. So, all tallied up, NFL staffers believe Denver has two of the top 22 safeties in the league.
