The Pittsburgh Steelers pulled off two huge trades this offseason. The first of those trades was with the Seattle Seahawks and brought Pittsburgh wide receiver DK Metcalf. We were initially excited about seeing Metcalf and George Pickens on the field together.

However, it wasn’t long until the Steelers traded Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys, leaving Metcalf as the Steelers No. 1 receiver. But where does Metcalf rank among the top receivers in the NFL? ESPN polled NFL executives, coaches and scouts to rank the top 10 receivers in the league. Unfortunately for the Steelers, the best Metcalf could get is an honorable mention.

“He’s still one of the biggest matchup problems in the NFL. He’s also still limited as a route runner in my opinion,” said one NFL personnel evaluator.

For his career, Metcalf averages 73 receptions and 1,054 receiving yards per season over six years. Pittsburgh is hoping he can approach his career best in 2020 when he hauled in 83 receptions for 1,303 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns.
