The Kansas City Chiefs will be without star wide receiver Rashee Rice for part of the 2025 season.
Rice, who has been rehabilitating a torn ACL he suffered last season, was sentenced to 30 days of jail time and five years of probation for his role in a street racing incident in Dallas, Texas, last year.

Though the courts have decided Rice’s punishment from a legal perspective, the NFL has yet to announce how long the former SMU Mustang will be suspended.
Several NFL experts sounded off on Twitter with their best guesses about how long Rice will be suspended:
While Rice was expected to miss the beginning of Kansas City’s 2025 campaign due to his knee injury, a lengthy suspension could further complicate the Super Bowl LVIII champion’s return to action with the Chiefs.
With training camp set to kick off next week, Kansas City’s fans should anticipate news of Rice’s official disposition for the 2025 season in the near future.
