Training camp is almost here for the Jacksonville Jaguars, so let’s take a look at what their current roster on offense looks like.
The Jaguars‘ first training camp practice will take place on July 23rd, with the rookies reporting on the 19th and the veterans on the 22nd.
There is still the possibility during this time of the year that an addition–and subsequent roster subtraction–can be made. GM James Gladstone still has the salary cap flexibility to tweak his roster. But largely, the team we see right now is the one that will carry the Jaguars through training camp and the preseason.
Here is the current makeup of the Jaguars’ training camp roster on offense.
QuarterbackTrevor LawrenceNick MullensJohn WolfordSeth Henigan
Along with Lawrence’s continued growth within Liam Coen’s offense, the other thing to watch for at quarterback this summer will be who earns the third quarterback role–Wolford or Henigan–and if that player is on the 53-man or the practice squad.

This will be one of the more intriguing positions to watch this summer. For one, how does the playing time shake out here, and also, do the Jaguars go heavy and roster four running backs on the 53-man?

SI’s Albert Breer recently highlighted several big things he will be watching for across the NFL as training camps unfold, one of which is how Travis Hunter’s playing time is split between offense and defense. Also worth monitoring will be whether the Jaguars roster five or six wideouts and who earns those spots behind Hunter, Thomas, Brown, and Washington.

Brenton Strange sits atop this depth chart, but how the playing time behind him shakes out still remains to be seen. Whoever can stand out as the most consistent blocker–which TE2 is going to be asked to do a lot of–will likely earn the most snaps.

With six new additions made this offseason between free agency and the NFL draft, there is a lot more versatility up front and a lot of competition as well. This should result in a heavy dose of mixing and matching as the Jaguars embrace competition and search for their best starting five configuration. Of note, perhaps the biggest battle is at right tackle, where ESPN’s Michael DiRocco wrote recently that Chuma Edoga is pushing Anton Harrison for playing time.
“That was the thing we saw and we wanted in the spring,” OL coach Shaun Sarrett said via Jaguars.com. “It’s going to really pop its head when you come into training camp. There are guys who running with the ones right now, and there’s guys that are running with the twos. But they have to hold on to their spots. We’ll keep them working at it each day and hopefully we have the best five starting when it all flattens out.”
