The NFL Hall of Famer is never one to back away from a challenge.

Back in 2020, Terrell Owens once beat Tyreek Hill in a 100-yard race and he let the world know about it.

Granted, Hill did give Owens a 10-yard head start, but it was still impressive that a 46-year-old beat a prime 26-year-old Hill.

At the time, Hill was still on the Kansas City Chiefs, coming off his first Super Bowl victory. He was at the peak of his powers with Patrick Mahomes throwing him the ball and head coach Andy Reid dialing it up.

While Hill may have lost to Owens in the 100-yard race, that was really just 90-yards for the Hall of Famer, the two lined it up again to race in a 40-yard dash.

Hill edged out Owens with what looked to be a 4.37, while Owens was somewhere between 4.40 to 4.42.

After the races, Hill took to social media to give Owens his flowers.

“I will say TO is faster than some of these wideouts in the league, but y’all ain’t ready for that discussion,” Hill wrote.

Chad Johnson was also in attendance to witness the races, and Owens had to let his good friend know that he was ready to put the pads back on.

“I’m in that 4.4-range,” Owens said after. “Chad, I’m that dog.

“Andy Reid, trust me. If you get in trouble now, I’m letting you know right now, I’m social distancing, I got my mask on, but if you’re ready, it’s going to be mask off.

“Bring me to Kansas City now. You know you know me. Let’s go Kansas City Chiefs.”

Owens and Reid have a storied history with one another, going back to the wide receiver’s days on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Reid coached Owens in Philadelphia for two seasons, where they both flourished together, even reaching Super Bowl XXXIX, falling just short to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

The race between the two All-Pro wide receivers is now four years old, while much has happened since.

The world was in the midst of a global shutdown due to COVID-19 the last time these two lined up next to each other.

Since then, Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins where he has flourished individually, but hasn’t quite had the team success he had in Kansas City.

Owens is now 51, but still passes the eye test of physical freak and someone who could probably catch a pass or two in today’s NFL.

NFL’s Greatest……

Ranking the top 10……

Owens last played in an NFL regular season game back in 2010 when he was with Johnson and the Cincinnati Bengals. Owens insists he could still play.

“Me not being on the field right now is a joke, and I don’t care what people say,” Owens said back in 2017.

That was eight years ago when he said that. But what about as recent as last year? To no surprise, Owens said he could still help a team come playoff time if need be.

“It’s all about the condition that you put yourself in,’” Owens told USA TODAY. “I’ve been able to take care of my body.

“If you think about the playoffs, a lot of these games are won by third downs and obviously red-zone situations. Could I go out and play 70 snaps right now? Absolutely not. But I’d be a viable option if I were on the team, that’s for sure.”

As the season approaches, why not ask the question no one else is asking? Who wants a 51-year-old Owens?
