Odell Beckham Jr remains a free agent after spending much of last season away from the league after his release from the Dolphins, while teasing that he could be joining a team ahead of training campOdell Beckham Jr could be set to sign with an NFL team

Odell Beckham Jr has been practicing in New York Giants gear amid rumors that he could be re-joining the team that drafted him 11 years ago.

The beloved wide receiver has failed to live up to the standards he had set while with the team for the first five years of his career, and has been on a decline since leaving them in 2019 – amassing 500 yards just once since then. Beckham Jr spent last season with the Miami Dolphins, before being released while hoping to land on championship contender – remaining unsigned through the rest of the season.

After failing to be signed as a free agent, Beckham Jr – who recently revealed he struggles with a skin disease – is still hoping to latch on to a team with training camp set to begin this week, and has hinted that he could be joining the Giants.

Beckham Jr had been a fan favorite while with the Giants, having what might be the greatest catch in NFL history against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football – a play that immediately propelled him to superstar status.

He went on to have four years of amassing 1,000 receiving yards, before leaving in a trade to the Cleveland Browns.

Beckham Jr had recently stated that he never wanted to leave the Giants, stating: “I never, ever wanted to leave the New York Giants. The reason you heard me talking about what was going on was because I was ****** because, where I come from in college, if we lost one game, our season was over.”

Since he left the Giants, injuries have been a big impact in derailing his career in recent years – failing to play in more than 14 games since his first season with the Cleveland Browns in 2019.

He did with a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, looking like the team’s star receiver alongside Cooper Kupp before tearing his ACL in the first-half of the game – after bringing in a receiving touchdown.

Odell Beckham Jr spent five years with the Giants

Beckham Jr could sign for the Giants on a veteran’s minimum deal, in which could be his last chance in the NFL – hoping to add something to their struggling offense.

The Giants will be starting former Super Bowl winner Russell Wilson at quarterback this year, with first-round rookie Jaxson Dart waiting in the wings to take over – potentially being redshirted his first year in the NFL.

New York has been weak at the receiver position ever since Beckham Jr left, and while they have an emerging superstar in Malik Nabers, they will be looking for a player to pair alongside him.
