CLEVELAND, Ohio — Pro Football Focus unveiled its ranking of the NFL’s linebacker units ahead of the 2025 season, and despite losing the face of their position group, the Browns linebacker room ranks 12th.
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah suffered a season-ending neck injury in Week 8 of 2024, and is out for the 2025 NFL season.
This will give more duties to his peers, such as Jordan Hicks, Mohamoud Diabate, and Devin Bush. But this will also create opportunity for the newcomers, especially 33rd overall pick in Carson Schwesinger.
PFF’s Dalton Wasserman wrote this about the outlook of Cleveland’s linebacker unit:
“Cleveland’s linebackers were quite productive last season, even accounting for the loss of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to injury. He’ll be out for all of 2025, as well, but Jordan Hicks remains to lead the defense after posting a 77.4 PFF overall grade last season (11th best at the position). Two spots ahead of Hicks in those rankings was Devin Bush, who showed substantial improvement in run defense last season. Rookie Carson Schwesinger will also be expected to contribute early and often as the 33rd overall pick in this year’s draft.”
