Vikings Legend Esera Tuaolo, who played for Minnesota from 1992-96 and has since performed the National Anthem at multiple Vikings games, will be on-site July 28 to serve fans from his new St. Joseph-based restaurant 98 Hawaiian Grill.

“Aloha and Mahalo! As a former member of the Minnesota Vikings, it is a profound honor to remain connected to an organization that truly exemplifies the spirit of ‘Ohana, which means ‘family’ in my native home of Hawaii,” Tuaolo said. “I am sincerely grateful for the continued support the Minnesota Vikings have shown throughout my journey, especially in the work I’ve been privileged to do within the community.

“Participating in Taste of the Cities has been a powerful reminder that those who have worn the purple and gold are never forgotten,” Tuaolo added. “Celebrating diversity and inclusion while fostering personal growth reflects the core values that define this team both on and off the field. This is a testament to the enduring bonds of this organization and the shared legacy we all carry forward.”
