New York Giants star wide receiver Malik Nabers isn’t lacking any confidence going into his second season in the NFL.

Turning just 22 years old at the end of the month, Nabers is coming off a fantastic rookie campaign. Now, the LSU product has his sights set on reaching the upper echelon of wide receivers across the league.

With training camp starting up this week, Nabers spoke about his expectations, especially as it pertains to being the best receiver in the league.

“I can be. Like I said, the work is going to always show,” Nabers told reporters on Wednesday. “There are a lot of guys that work all year round, so the work will show. I feel like I should be one of those top guys in a few years, if not next year. That’s just me personally, but time will tell.”

Despite the constant rotation and inconsistent play from the quarterback position, which included the release of former $160 million quarterback Daniel Jones, Nabers was still able to put together elite production.

Nabers wound up setting the NFL record for most receptions in a season by a rookie wide receiver (109). Meanwhile, he added 1,204 receiving yards and seven touchdowns even though he missed two games due to a concussion.

There are some elite talents across the league at wide receiver, but after what he showed during his rookie campaign, there’s no reason to believe Nabers can’t enter the conversation as the best in the NFL.
