December 15, 2016: The Seahawks debut their action green uniforms, and Richard Sherman saves Jared Goff’s life.
The Seahawks wore their very bright action green uniforms in a Thursday night game against the Rams in 2016, and were victorious in that new look thanks to a three-touchdown performance from Russell Wilson, and 130 receiving yards, including a 57-yard score, from Tyler Lockett. The most memorable moment from that game, however, featured rookie quarterback Jared Goff scrambling down the sideline in the fourth quarter and inexplicably deciding not to step out of bounds, allowing Richard Sherman to deliver a hard hit that knocked Goff out of the game. As bad as that hit was, Goff was probably glad it happened after reviewing the tape, because only a step or two behind Sherman was Kam Chancellor, one of the hardest hitters of his era, no doubt ready to deliver an even harder blow.
