The Tennessee Titans‘ wide receiver room had the first major injury impact of training camp on July 26.

Treylon Burks suffered a fractured collarbone after diving for a pass during a team period at Saturday’s practice in Nissan Stadium, NFL Network reported.

Burks, the 2022 first-round pick whose career has been overrun by injuries, enters his fourth NFL season with something to prove. He has missed 24 games over the first three seasons due to injury, including missing the final 12 games in 2024 after a torn ACL.

Burks’ roster spot was far from secure heading into camp, and it’s unknown how long he’ll be out or if he factors into the mix once healthy.

For now, this is how the Titans wide receivers stack up early in the preseason:

Ridley is the top target for quarterback Cam Ward and is coming off of his third 1,000-yard season. He has at least 1,000 receiving yards in his last three full-time seasons. If Ward has a solid rookie year, it’s a near-certainty that Ridley’s numbers tick up from 2024.

Lockett is a reliable secondary option for Ward, but how often can he get vertical like he could earlier in his career? Did Seattle change his role for a reason? (His average depth when targeted numbers dropped over the last three seasons.) Jefferson has been a part of the rotation with the first-team offense during early camp practices.

Ayomanor and Dike are fourth-round rookies who will have a spot on the roster, but their roles are unknown.

Oliver has also gotten some run with Ward and the first team early in camp. A training camp bright spot last year, Oliver eventually was added to the main roster in November 2024 and played 10 games. He also adds special teams value and versatility (five special teams tackles, a long of 54 in a brief stint as a kickoff returner), which can only help his case.

Jackson and Kinsey played last season in Nashville but may be the consequence of increased talent and competition in the room. Restrepo’s signing as an undrafted free agent garnered attention nationally, but it’s going to take a big effort during camp and preseason given the numbers game. (Maybe the Titans keep seven receivers?) Keyton (NFL Network reported Saturday that he was signing with the Titans) and Landers are additions this week, while Proche and Sheffield’s best way to make the roster could be via special teams.
