Final: Buffalo 31, Seattle 10
The Bills walked into Seattle ready for a fight. In the end, the Seahawks probably should’ve ended with more than ten points. Two unfortunate mistakes inside the Buffalo 5-yard line resulted in only three points. Despite both teams combining for a season-high in penalties, the Bills responded much better than their opponents.
Offensively, the Bills had easily one of their best showings of the year. Josh Allen finished 24/34 on throwing attempts and 283 yards. James Cook had 17 rushed for 111 yards and two rushing touchdowns, as well as three receptions for an additional 22 yards. Khalil Shakir led the way for receiving with 9 catches for 107 yards. Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid also came away with receiving touchdowns in the team win.
On defense, the Bills crushed the Seahawks. Most of Seattle’s yards came after the game was practically over. Buffalo even held their opponents to a staggering 1 rushing yard at halftime.
Games like this are why the Bills can be so dominating. It appears that when the Bills are good, they are very good. But, when the Bills are not so good, they are very not good.

Halftime: Buffalo 14, Seattle 3
The Bills dominate on offense, but it’s the Seattle mistakes that tell the story of the first half. The Bills have had plenty of success with all things offense and show no signs of stopping. Other than Josh Allen throwing his first interception of the season, the Bills will go into the half happy.
However, two different goal-line attempts by the Seahawks only resulted in three points. A change in luck could mean a very different story.
A bad snap by the center Connor Williams backed them up over twenty yards to take them out of touchdown range. Not long after, Williams stepped on Geno Smiths’ foot causing him to fall on a 4th and 1 attempt. A roughing-the-passer on Derrick Hall gave the Bills another shot at the end zone, allowing them to score before ending the half.
The Bills will get the ball to start the half up 11 points. As the rain continues to fall, the Seahawks will have to get out of their own way in order to beat this fiery Bills team.

Pregame
Good afternoon, everyone! My name is Evan, and I‘ll be doing the live updates for today’s game.
The 5-2 Buffalo Bills are away at the Seattle Seahawks who are 4-3. This Week 8 matchup showcases two quarterbacks known for slinging the ball. Geno Smith currently leads the NFL in total passing yards coming into this week, while Josh Allen leads the league in QBR.
Both of these teams had significant injuries last week to key players. The Bills placed DT DeWayne Carter on injury reserve on Friday, while the Seahawks are without start receiver DK Metcalf. The Bills will also be without WR Curtis Samuel.
With both teams having powerful offenses, this game will surely come down to who can get the most stops. Both teams currently sit at the top of their divisions, therefor both teams will be hungry for a win.
Today’s game also marks Tom Brady’s first time providing color for a Bills game since joining the FOX broadcast booth.
