The Indianapolis Colts signed left tackle Bernhard Raimann to a four-year, $100 million extension on Monday, NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reported. The deal makes Raimann one of the highest-paid left tackles in the NFL at $25 million annually.
Raimann’s annual salary ties him with Washington’s Laremy Tunsil as the fourth-highest paid left tackle in the league. The extension rewards the 77th overall pick from the 2022 NFL Draft entering his fourth professional season.
Pro Football Focus named Raimann the Colts’ most underrated player heading into 2025. He posted a top-10 overall PFF grade of 85.1 among all offensive tackles in 2024, despite being overshadowed by teammates Quenton Nelson and Ryan Kelly.
Raimann ranked 24th in pass-blocking efficiency among 83 eligible tackles last season according to PFF. His performance represented continued growth from his breakout 2023 campaign in his second NFL season.
Colts GM Chris Ballard highlighted Raimann’s rapid improvement since entering the league. The Austrian-born tackle has transformed from a late second-round selection into a cornerstone of Indianapolis’ offensive line.
“The progress that Berny has made from year one to now, it’s been pretty incredible,” Ballard said at the NFL Combine.
The extension secures Raimann through the 2028 season and provides the Colts with long-term stability at a premium position. His development represents one of the franchise’s most successful recent draft investments.
