NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The longest successful field goal attempt in a game in Titans history is 60 yards, kicked by Rob Bironas in 2006.
This past Saturday, in his first practice inside Nissan Stadium as a member of the Tennessee Titans, new kicker Joey Slye booted through an attempt from 66 yards. And it had room to spare.
“I think that’s been shown for me,” said Slye.
“I know I’ve got a couple of 60-yarders under my belt. I know I’ve tried some, I don’t want to say ridiculous kicks, but some really long ones in my career. So, if we have the opportunity, I hope they send me out there. I’ve got to continue to build the trust within the team to let me have those kicks. Doing it now as a Titan is something I will look forward to during the season, so yeah, really, really cool to kick here.”

Here are instructions on how to watch WSMV4 live on various platforms.
Slye joins the team after spending last season in New England.
The 28-year-old is an NFL journeyman, having played for the Giants, Panthers, Texans, 49ers, Commanders and Jaguars.
Now he’s got a home in Tennessee under new special teams coach John “Bones” Fassel.
Slye kicked a 63-yard FG last season with the Patriots.
