The Seattle Seahawks made a minor move Tuesday, signing defensive tackle Thor Griffith to the 53-man roster.

To make room for Griffith, the Seahawks waived nose tackle Justin Rogers, who was signed by Seattle just last week.

Griffith is an undrafted rookie out of Louisville. He participated in the Seahawks’ rookie minicamp as a tryout player in May.

Checking in at 6 foot 2 and 305 pounds, Griffith transferred to Louisville as a redshirt senior after playing the previous three seasons at Harvard. In 2023 with the Crimson, the Portsmouth, New Hampshire product made 55 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks to earn All-Ivy League first team honors.

They are set to play an open practice as part of their Seahawks Football Fest at Lumen Field on Saturday, and will open the three-game preseason slate on Thursday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. in Seattle against Pete Carroll and the Las Vegas Raiders.
