Bambini’s take: Detroit gets a young edge defender in Boise State’s Hassanein, who will look to develop under veterans Aidan Hutchinson and Marcus Davenport. He produced 22 sacks over the last two seasons for Boise State but will have to prove himself against much stronger competition. He’s passionate for the game, possesses a strong motor and knows how utilize his quick hands to get through blocks and to the quarterback. He can provide depth at a position that was hit hard with injuries last year.
What he had to say: “Whoever picks me is getting a real dude. That’s all it’s about, I’m ready to die for that team. That’s just who I am, but I was ready to die for Boise State. I’m going to bring the team culture. I just want to be out there compete, win, win Super Bowls, that’s who I am.” — Hassanein at his Pro Day
