The Patriots made a slew of transactions on Wednesday after training camp wrapped up for the day.
New England signed tight ends Tyler Davis and Cole Fotheringham as well as center Alec Lindstrom.’
A 2020 sixth-round draft pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Davis spent the last two seasons on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad. He’s played in 39 NFL games between the Packers and the Jaguars, but has yet to score a touchdown.

Fotheringham’s last NFL appearance came in 2023 when he played in two games for the Las Vegas Raiders. He signed with the Denver Broncos in May, but was released a month later.
Lindstrom had two stints with the Memphis Showboats of the United Football League (UFL). He appeared in one game for the New York Jets last season.
Among other moves the Patriots made on Wednesday included waiving offensive tackle Yasir Durant, who was waived-injured. The Patriots signed him in June after coming off a UFL championship. Durant started every game for the DC Defenders en route to their championship.
Wide receiver Demeer Blankumsee and running back Trayveon Williams were released to round out the moves. Williams appeared in every game in each of the last two seasons and was a core special teamer.
