The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Minnesota defensive tackle Kyler Baugh, according to a report by Matt Zenitz.

Baugh is a second year player who spent time on the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad in December of 2024. He never played in a game, though, and the Steelers brought him in as relief for some injuries.

Baugh most recently played with the St. Louis Battlehawks of the UFL, playing in four games and posting one sack and two tackles for loss.

Veterans Dean Lowry, Jacob Slade, and Esezi Otomewo all went down with knee injuries during Wednesday’s practice, causing them to miss Thursday. Head coach Mike Tomlin said they would be evaluated.

Baugh will come in and immediately get a chance to showcase what he can do to the Steelers with those injuries piling up. He hopes to parlay that into much more.

Over his years with the Golden Gophers, Baugh played in 26 games with four sacks. He added four pass deflections and a force fumble over his college career.
