Ravens Foundation gives new equipment, apparel to 1,500 young athletes

The Ravens Foundation announced Friday that it has awarded grants to 28 nonprofit programs throughout Maryland. As part of these grants, the Ravens will host approximately 1,500 young athletes at training camp to receive new equipment and apparel. These athletes come from 21 youth and high school programs that span 12 Maryland counties, such as Baltimore, Anne Arundel, and Carroll counties.Now in its 15th year, the grant continues to promote the healthy development of children in Maryland. Each recipient uses the grant to purchase packages of sports equipment — such as jerseys, field equipment, and emergency response accessories.Additionally, USA Football and the Baltimore Ravens recently awarded equipment grants to youth football programs throughout Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
