“I love it” – Micah Parsons glows about Titans QB Cam Ward ahead of Cowboys contract dispute originally appeared on A to Z Sports.

NASHVILLE — Dallas Cowboys star edge defender Micah Parsons is a big fan of now Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward. With Parsons recently requesting a trade out of Dallas, could Tennessee be a viable landing spot for the 26-year old pass rusher?

Probably not, but it is still fun to think about.

Parsons is very media savvy.

The 2021 Cowboys first-round draft choice hosts a podcast, The Edge with Micah Parsons, as an active NFL player. Parsons is also a regular participant in Bleacher Report’s live streamed NFL Draft night coverage. He had a glowing review of Ward, who was selected by the Titans with the No. 1 overall pick three months ago.

“I love it,” said Parsons of Tennessee snagging Ward. “I love it. I think this is what the Tennessee Titans need. My comp is Joe Burrow. If you watch that [University of] Miami film, there’s been games where their defense gave up 25+ points a game. They’ve been playing from behind, but when I tell you I’ve never seen a college quarterback…and I talk about him on the pod all the time, I thought he was a Heisman favorite of mine, cool, calm, collected, able to make throws. He’s gutsy. He trusts his arm, the confidence, and he comes back and wins those games for Miami.”

One perfect example of Ward willing his college team to wins came early last October.

Ward threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Elijah Arroyo with 26 seconds left on the road to seal a 25-point comeback in the second half against Cal 39-38. That was one week removed from another Ward rally10 points down in the fourth quarter to beat Virginia Tech. The win at Cal was the Hurricane’s biggest comeback in program history since storming back down 28 points to beat Boston College in 1999.

Tennessee would have to give up precious draft capital it desperately needs after finishing 3-14 in 2024, but the idea of adding Parsons to support Ward in his NFL career is incredibly enticing.
