We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals, and we are less than six weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is 36 days away.

As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let’s look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals.

Who has worn No. 36?

Cardinals players to wear No. 36

Safety Kitan Crawford, a rookie drafted in the seventh round, wears No. 36. We will see if he can make the team.

S Kitan Crawford (2025-?)

S Andre Chachere (2023-2024)

S D.J. Swearinger (2015-2016, 2019)

S Budda Baker (2017-2018)

RB LaRod Stephens-Howling (2009-2012)

S David Barrett (2000-2003)

RB Ryan Christopherson (1996)

RB Vai Sikahema (1986-1990)

RB Perry Harrington (1984-1985)

RB Rod Phillips (1979-1980)

RB Cannonball Butler (1972)

RB MacArthur Lane (1968-1971)

FB Bill Thornton (1963-1967)

FB Frank Mestnik (1960-1961)

RB Johnny Olszewski (1954-1957)

FB Ralph Pasquariello (1951-1952)

RB Joe Bukant (1942-1943)

The Cardinals have had a few solid players with No. 36. Budda Baker is probably the best but is known more for No. 3 now. Sikahema was very good and grew up in Mesa, Arizona. Lane was a good running back and Reaves was also good.

And more recent Cardinals fans will remember how fun a player Stephens-Howling was.
