With 35 days till the Cardinals open the season against the Saints, we look at the players who have worn No. 35.

We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals, and we are exactly five weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is 35 days away.

As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let’s look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals.

Who has worn No. 35?

Cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe, a long shot to make the final roster, is the Cardinals‘ current No. 35.

CB Ekow Boye-Doe (2025-?)CB Christian Matthew (2022-2023)LB Tahir Whitehead (2021)S Curtis Riley (2020)S Deionte Thompson (2019)S Eddie Pleasant (2018)RB Elijhaa Penny (2017)CB Cariel Brooks (2015)CB Javier Arenas (2013)FB Anthony Sherman (2011-2012)FB Dan Kreider (2009)DB Oliver Celestin (2007-2008)DB Ernest Shazor (2005)DB Dyshod Carter (2004)CB Aeneas Williams (1991-2000)RB Dennis Smith (1990)DB Jeff Griffin (1981-1985)FB Jim Otis (1973-1978)RB Larry Stegent (1971)RB Joe Childress (1956-1965)P Jeff Burkett (1947)QB Walt Masters (1943)WR Dick Evans (1942)OL Tarzan White (1940-1941)OL Mike Kochel (1939)WR Herb Duggins (1934)RB Herb Maple (1930)

Otis was a solid running back for the Cardinals, but this is an easy choice for the best No. 35, and that is Williams, a Hall of Famer. He got a championship with the Rams after leaving Arizona, but he was the best cornerback of the 90s not named Deion Sanders, and had he not played for a bad Cardinals team, he might have been seen as Sanders’ equal.
