If you’re heading to Lincoln Financial Field to watch the Philadelphia Eagles play football, you may want to eat beforehand.
The reigning NFL Super Bowl champions are now a proud partner of Chickie’s & Pete’s, a Philadelphia-based crab house and sports bar chain.

Their Sahara Las Vegas restaurant is currently ranked as the number one sports bar in North America by ESPN, so it’s very fitting that they are in partnership with the Eagles.
Whilst their food and drink in their restaurants is reasonably priced, don’t expect to see the same at their pop-up store inside the stadium, which cost approximately $512 million to build, so make sure to bring a plethora of extra dollars on any given Eagles gameday.
Eagles fans being priced out of food and drink
Per a photo posted by X (formerly Twitter) account Eagles Nation, the price list of the Chickie’s & Pete’s stand inside Lincoln Financial Field is a vast increase from what consumers would tend to find elsewhere in Philly.
For example, in their restaurants, a single serving of chicken cutlets would cost $7.99.
But inside Lincoln Financial Field, the same portion would cost $17.00
Similarly, crab fries with two dipping sauces would also cost $7.99, but on gameday, it would cost somebody $17.50.

Clearly, the fans are being priced out of buying concessions around the stadium, and based on the minimum wage in Philadelphia, this comes to a small fortune.
In the state of Pennsylvania, the current minimum wage lies in the region of $7.25 per hour.
With a bottle of water at the Chickie’s & Pete’s concession stand costing $7.75, any minimum wage employee would need to work over an hour to afford water.
For a can of Miller Lite beer priced at $18.50 – an insane cost for just one small can – an employee on minimum wage would have to work 2.5 hours just to afford it.
EXTORTING EAGLES FANS

Chickie’s & Pete’s menu at Lincoln Financial Field is more than double the price it is in their actual restaurant
FOOD Cutlets, $17.00Crab fries, $17.50Buffalo cutlets, $17.00Cheese cup, $4.00DRINK
Domestic can beer (Miller Lite), $18.50Large soda, $12.50Regular soda, $9.50Bottled water, $7.75
The craziness doesn’t stop there, as if a fan were to purchase two beers and a fries, it would cost a minimum wage worker their entire pay packet for one day.
It just doesn’t seem fair at all, especially when the cost of a ticket for the game and the cost of transportation hasn’t even been factored in.
With fans being priced out of the game from both a ticketing, and concessions standpoint, it remains to be seen what that may do to Eagles’ attendance figures during the 2025 season.
Should things go awry in that aspect, then both the Eagles, and those at Chickie’s & Pete’s may need to look into an alternative pricing structure that aligns more with the prices they set in their restaurants over the US.
Nonetheless, the Eagles enter the new campaign as favorites to go on and repeat as champions, with Jalen Hurts – who has been disrespected in the quarterback poll , as well as by ex-players – at the helm under center.
