But he was a star of the weekend’s induction ceremony in Canton nevertheless.

Cleveland Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot was recognized for her contributions to football as she received the Bill Nunn Memorial Award at the at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Gold Jacket Dinner.
In her acceptance speech, she noted that once upon a time, the Browns head coach was Belichick … and she was on the beat at age 28.

“If Bill didn’t like something I wrote, he’d call and yell at me,” she said. “Now I totally understand why Bill game such a hard time,” she said. “I was 28 at the time – and he just couldn’t relate to a woman that old.”
This is a reference of course to the fact that the eight-time Super Bowl-winning Belichick, 73, is dating Jordon Hudson, who is but 24 years old.
