The Kansas City Chiefs have been fine-tuning their air attack at training camp ahead of a preseason exhibition against the Arizona Cardinals on August 9.
Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes put on a show for fans who attended Kansas City’s practice session on Tuesday, and connected with veteran tight end Noah Gray during one-on-one drills.

Gray, who was competing against second-year defensive back Jaden Hicks, ran an impressive route that gave Mahomes enough space to deliver him a perfectly thrown ball in stride.
Take a look at Mahomes’ completion to Gray in this video, which was posted to Twitter by Matt Foster of KSHB 41:
While legendary pass-catcher Travis Kelce is expected to play the majority of snaps for Kansas City at the tight end position, Gray’s utility as a backup shouldn’t go unnoticed.
In 10 games as a starter during the 2024 regular season, Gray tallied 40 receptions for 437 yards and scored five touchdowns.
