CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WACH) — Friday night former Gamecock Rico Dowdle will don Panthers’ black and blue for the first time in his career for his homecoming with the Carolina Panthers as they host the Cleveland Browns.

The North Carolina-native joined the Panthers after rushing for a career-best 1,079 yards last year.

Dowdle joins a talented running back room as Chuba Hubbard comes off a career-best 1,195 rushing yards.

The pair could be the first running back duo in the NFL to rush for 1,000 yards each since the Panthers duo of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart last did it in 2009.

Dowdle joins WACH FOX Sports for a one-on-one and tells us what they need to do to accomplish that.
