The Denver Broncos released their unofficial depth chart for the preseason earlier today, ahead of their preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers this Saturday. This gives us our first unofficial look at the Broncos’ depth chart as they head into the preseason. Now, we need to keep in mind that this depth chart does not mean much in the grand scheme of things. Sean Payton downplayed his involvement in it last season, and it is only being announced because they have to do one.
Like last year when Bo Nix was listed as the third-string quarterback, all rookies are at the back of the line. We know that is not the reality, so we shouldn’t make too much out of it. Despite that, we’ll take a look at it and see if we can gain any real knowledge from it.
