The Seattle Seahawks made one of the most intriguing decisions during the 2025 NFL draft when they selected Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe in the third round. While Milroe is widely seen as a project in need of development/refinement, there is a strong possibility we will see him in action in some capacity during the coming season. Head coach Mike Macdonald already affirmed Sam Darnold as the starter, but made it a point to mention Milroe isn’t going to be just riding the pine this year.
Milroe will have the benefit of working with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who had plenty of experience last year in New Orleans when it came to getting a uniquely athletic backup quarterback in Taysom Hill involved in the game. It isn’t just the 12th Man in Seattle who has noticed this, but members of the media as well. During an appearance on Good Morning Football, former journeyman wide receiver – and Washington Husky – Isaiah Stanback spoke about what Milroe could bring to the Seahawks this year.
While Stanback did stop short of outlining just how specifically Milroe will be used, he was firm in his belief that the Crimson Tide standout is going to bring some “juice” to Seattle. Stanback’s full comments can be seen in the Tweet below.
