The stakes got a little more exciting for the upcoming Steelers preseason Week 2 matchup, as their opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, are reportedly looking to play “all or most” of their starters against Pittsburgh.
Following the Buccaneers‘ preseason opener last Saturday against the Tennessee Titans, a report from Joebucsfan.com revealed that Tampa Bay’s starters will play in the preseason Week 2 contest versus the Steelers — which was also confirmed by insider Ira Kaufman.

“We should know more in Pittsburgh, and a lot of the [Buccaneers] starters are going to play,” Kaufman said via his podcast. “Now, they’ll probably play two series and yank them.”
The Jaguars played most of their starters against the Steelers last Saturday — despite Pittsburgh having 15 healthy scratches from the preseason opener.
It remains to be seen if the Steelers’ starters will see more action against the Buccaneers in this Saturday’s contest — but HC Mike Tomlin has previously hinted that QB Aaron Rodgers may not see any snaps this preseason.
