A member of the 2024 Carolina Panthers running back room has found a new home.
As announced on Monday, the Miami Dolphins have signed veteran rusher Mike Boone. The 30-year-old back spent last season in Carolina, where he appeared in six games.

Boone first cracked into the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in 2018. The University of Cincinnati product went on to play in 40 games for Minnesota up until the 2020 campaign, totaling 379 yards and four touchdowns on 71 rushing attempts.
After stops with the Denver Broncos (2021 to 2022) and the Houston Texans (2023), Boone signed on with the Panthers ahead of the 2024 season. He was the team’s second-leading rusher during preseason play, running for 76 yards on 18 carries.
In his six regular-season contests last year, he notched 51 rushing yards on 13 tries.
