Former Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is trying to make it clear that he is not done playing football.

On Tuesday, a fake Facebook page that parodies ESPN’s Adam Schefter posted that Beckham was going to retire. Beckham must have received several messages from former teammates and fans because he had to address the fake report through social media.

“No seriously, please stop reading everything on the internet, and stop texting me happy retirement before you piss me off,” Beckham posted. “That will get no response. I promise you the day I’m done, I will let u know. Again, if you text me happy retirement, I’m just going to have to block you. Thanks.”

Beckham has played 11 seasons in the league, starting with the Giants in 2014 as their first-round draft pick. After catching 390 passes for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns in five seasons with the Giants while also making the Pro Bowl three times, Beckham was traded to the Cleveland Browns. He also had stints with the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens, and most recently, the Miami Dolphins, where he caught nine passes for 55 yards in nine games last season.

He is still a free agent and could sign with a team that experiences injuries at wide receiver, or a team that needs an upgrade as the regular season progresses.

“Not done yet…thanks for your concerns and have a blessed day,” Beckham said.
