The Arizona Cardinals held a joint practice with the Denver Broncos in Denver on Thursday and their starters got a lot of work. One starter did not practice.

Veteran defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson sat out with a knee injury.

He sustained it at some point in the Cardinals’ preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs last Saturday. We learned from head coach Jonathan Gannon that it is the knee, but it shouldn’t be anything to concern Cardinals fans.

Gannon said Tomlinson is dealing with “just a little bit of knee soreness,” making it smart to keep him out of the joint practice. “He’s doing well,” Gannon added.

Tomlinson will not play again until the season opener. The Cardinals will not play their starters against the Broncos on Saturday and certainly won’t play them in the preseason finale next weekend against the Las Vegas Raiders.
