Highmark Stadium is nearing the homestretch to finish the new Buffalo Bills home. There is less than a year until the project is complete and now the Buffalo Bills have a timeline on when the old Highmark Stadium will be coming down.
When are they going to knock down Highmark Stadium?
Old Highmark Stadium will be demolished in March 2027 per the Buffalo Bills Chief Operating Officer, Pete Guelli. Fans can expect that some of the items, possibly like seats, will be sold by Erie County.
What is the old Highmark Stadium going to be?
We heard a few rumors in the beginning of the new stadium being built, including that the Pegulas were interested in actually building a music venue, such as an amphitheater there. Most likely, the Buffalo Bills have hinted that the old stadium will be knocked down and then used for parking. Remember when they first started building the new stadium and it eliminated all of the parking for Buffalo Bills games? People were nervous about where they would park and that they would be walking quite a distance, but it does not seem like it has had a dramatic effect, like a lot of fans thought. Most of the private lots are probably loving the fact that there is less parking from the Buffalo Bills therefore fans have to find an alternative, such as the private lots. How much have you seen it cost for parking at the private lots? We have seen it get up to $60 in some areas. Right now, if you want to park on Buffalo Bills property, you have to have a parking pass that is purchased in advanced. You cannot just pull up to the stadium and expect to pay like in the past.
