NEW York Jets quarterback Justin Fields turned heads with a statement regarding one of his position units.
The 26-year-old Fields has seemed to be getting more than comfortable with a position group with the 2025 season starting in just a few weeks.

The Jets are expected to be a run-oriented offense in the season under new head coach Aaron Glenn.
The team can utilize the read-option and other run plays with the speedy and elusive Fields, who’s just three years removed from a 1,143 rushing yard season.
But New York will run the ball plenty with star Breece Hall and the 20-year-old Braelon Allen, who’s impressed in training camp and the team’s preseason-opening 30-10 road win against the Green Bay Packers.
Allen rushed eight times for 32 yards and showed off his speed with a 14-yard rush in one play.
On Tuesday, Fields spoke to reporters after the Jets’ joint practice with the New York Giants in Florham Park.
The U.S. Sun asked Fields about the chemistry that he’s shown with Hall and Allen this summer.
“It’s awesome. They can do everything. They can, of course, run the ball and catch out of the backfield,” Fields answered at the team’s media availability.
During Tuesday’s scrimmage session with the Giants, Fields connected with Hall and Allen multiple times.
The pair seemed to be in sync with their quarterback.
Fields then not only praised Hall and Allen, but he also acknowledged third-string back Isaiah Davis and sent a strong message concerning the running back unit as a whole.

“So it’s great having [Breece Hall and Braelon Allen] and Isaiah Davis as well. He brings a different dynamic to the running backs room, too,” he said.
“We have a nice little three-headed monster.
“Even behind those three guys, we also have some ballers, too.
“The running back room is stacked.”

Other than Hall, Allen, and Davis, veteran Kene Nwangwu and undrafted rookie Donavon Edwards are the remaining running backs.
And the Michigan product Edwards also played well in last weekend’s game as he led the team in rushing attempts (9) and yards (42).
The Jets will have to make the brutal decision on who stays and who goes in the running back room once they trim the roster to 53 players.
Once that happens, the team will give Hall the most touches.

However, there have been reports that the 6-1, 235-pound Allen will have a bigger role than last year.
Hall recorded 209 carries for 876 rushing yards as well as 57 catches for 483 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns last season.
Allen, meanwhile, rushed 92 times for 334 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie.
Nonetheless, the Jets’ backfield will be an exciting unit to watch for as they’ll soon prepare to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in the season home opener on September 7.
