DENVER, Colo. (WHTM) — A Lebanon County native booted what would’ve bested last week’s viral 70-yard placekick by Cam Little and the NFL record. But, it’s not going to break any official records.

Chad Ryland, a 2017 Cedar Crest High School grad, suited up Saturday for the Arizona Cardinals as they visited the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High.
In warm-ups, Ryland nailed a 72-yarder.

Had it been in regulation during a regular season game, the former Cedar Crest Falcons standout would own the longest field goal record by six yards. Justin Tucker owns that record with a 66-yarder for the Ravens in 2021.
Last week, Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little hit a 70-yard field goal in a preseason loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ryland, drafted in 2023 by the New England Patriots. He became the starting kicker and, later that year, he made a 56-yard game-winning field goal to defeat the Broncos.

He was cut last August and signed later to the Cardinals.
