The 2025 New Orleans Saints season is just three weeks, 21 days away from kicking off against the Arizona Cardinals. Continuing our countdown, we are turning back the clock by over a decade to celebrate an acrobatic interception made by Patrick Robinson in the No. 21 jersey.
Robinson was a first-round draft pick back in the 2010 NFL draft. While he may have never turned into an All-Pro, he did put together an 11-year NFL career and spent eight of those years with the Saints. He also won a Super Bowl in 2018 with the Philadelphia Eagles.

He had 16 interceptions throughout the regular season during his career, one of which was already on this countdown back when there were still 99 days left. The one we are highlighting today wasn’t returned for a touchdown, but was acrobatic and impressive in its own right.
Back in Week 5 of the 2014 season, New Orleans faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in what turned out to be a high-scoring 37-31 affair that the Saints came out on top of. Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon took a deep shot to Louis Murphy down the sideline in the second quarter. The pass hung in the air a bit, allowing Robinson to fully extend while in the middle of the air and end up coming down with the ball with an over-the-shoulder catch. You can watch the athletic interception for yourself here.
