Following the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 2 preseason matchup with the Green Bay Packers, let’s take a look at some of the highlight plays from quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson.
Overall, it was a good showing for both quarterbacks in this game.

While Jones’ first possession was rocky, he bounced back on his second drive and was able to generate two explosive passing plays of 20-plus yards that put the Colts in scoring position.
Richardson was on the field for three possessions, the first of which ended in a touchdown drive, and included Richardson completing 5-of-6 passes for 64 yards.
On Richardson’s third drive, which began with the offense backed up deep in their own territory, a terrific downfield throw to Anthony Gould was negated due to a penalty.
When it was all said and done, Jones was  7-for-11 passing for 101 yards, while Richardson was 6-for-11 passing for 73 yards.

Afterward, head coach Shane Steichen said he is “very close” to making a decision and deciding who will start for the Colts in Week 1.
The most consistent quarterback, and this includes all aspects of the position from preparation to command of the offense, and much more, will ultimately be the starter.
“I think it’s everything,” Steichen said of the evaluation. “The operation, the communication in the huddle, the checks, getting guys on the same page. The consistency of all that, obviously, is going to play a big factor in this.”
