Green Bay Packers defensive back Omar Brown spent Saturday night in a local hospital after suffering a chest contusion in the team’s preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts. Coach Matt Lafleur indicated that Brown is expected to spend an additional night in the hospital and could be back as soon as Monday.
The former Nebraska football star was having a successful preseason. He made headlines during the Packers’ Family Day, as he intercepted three passes on the evening.

Brown had a very successful career in Lincoln, recording 56 tackles, an interception, and three pass deflections over 23 games. He joined the Packers’ practice squad in August 2024.
The defensive back was certainly on the rise throughout this preseason, something that shouldn’t be a surprise to Husker fans. Here’s to hoping for a quick recovery, as he continues to make an impact in the NFL.
